Looking for Singing Opportunities in and around Seattle?
The best way to get performance experience is to perform! If you've never done it, I suggest you go to a venue near by as a spectator first, get an idea for the way the event is run, then plan your songs for next time. I went unprepared to Egan's - had a blast! - but wound up forgetting my words. Be prepared! And if someone else is playing, bring sheet music or a chart for the musicians.
Here is a partial and growing list. Please send me more links to add!
Egan's in Ballard: Vocal Jam on Wednesdays 9 - 11 pm. Outstanding Jazz trio backs you while you sing!
Victory Music: Various AccousticOpen Mic locations north and south of Puget Sound. This is great if you play guitar or need to find someone to accompany you for future reference.
Here's another Jazz Open Mic:
Martin's Off Madison: Karin Kajita is at the piano on Tuesdays 8 - 11 pm. Sing Jazz, standards and more...
And of course we can't leave out the Karaoke singers! Here's a comprehensive link to Karaoke locations all over the region:
