Here's what other's are saying about Malya Muth, Singing Coach "I LOVE singing, and my voice has improved with the proper vocal technique."Malya is an amazing vocal teacher! Her passion for the art truly inspires me, and I look forward to working with her each week. Before I began training with Malya, l liked to sing for fun, and I never really paid attention to my technique. However, since going to Malya, I LOVE singing, and my voice has improved with the proper vocal technique. Malya had opened my eyes to the world of singing, and singing as a career. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with her, and take her extensive amount of knowledge to help improve my singing skills. Malya has helped me become more confident with my voice. She pushes me to perform to the best of my ability, and she always has the best advice to help me over the bumps. - Ciara Kondol
I would like to thank you for the great work you did with Indianna during her time with you.You are so great with the kids, always encouraging and ready with praise but still able to make corrections and teach them to improve. You have so much knowledge about all aspects of music. You have helped Indi's self esteem and self confidence and also helped her overcome her shyness and stage fright. She had a drama camp during the summer and she had great stage presence and projected her voice when reciting her lines. I know she did well because of her experiences at your voice camps. Keep in touch.

"I appreciate her passion and honesty"I have loved singing since I was a child, but now that I have been taking lessons with Malya I feel like I'm truly learning HOW to sing. She is very knowledgeable and has gently pushed me to reach beyond my comfort level and achieve things I wouldn't have thought possible. I appreciate her passion and honesty and her ability to patiently break things down when it just won't "click". I also love the stretching warm-up we do before singing, it settles my mind and helps me feel more connected to my body. - Kym Tennessen
"Best First Time Ever"Malya, whom I fondly call "Teach" at times, is the best coach and mentor I've known since I started singing. She is a professional at heart and knows her craft. Her confidence and strong presence is second nature. One thing I admire about her style is the way I feel after a session. It gives me the impetus and motivation that I find myself working hard taking her tips to heart. She has helped me achieve the level of confidence that I have long agonized about. I can write a manual on her teaching process but as of the moment, I am enjoying it like I'm having my first cup of coffee on a Saturday morning. I am not saying that her style is easy that I can sleep on it . In fact, I work hard knowing that she is an accomplished performer and teacher because she has the work ethic and the passion to excel in her craft. -Jeneva Canlas Takasawa "I found exactly what I was looking for!"Malya is a really great teacher and has taught me so much in the short time I have been taken. I love that she does lessons out of her home and it is a very relaxed and comfortable environment. She isn't super strict, but she keeps me structured so that I can learn to my full potential. Malya does a great job and from the first day we met, she has understood me completely and she was a perfect match; everything I wanted in a vocal teacher! I wish we could get together more often so she can really help me be successful in singing. - Sarah Flores
"A soprano gem "Malya Muth is a soprano soloist who possess a voice of great warmth and emotional expressivity. Her vocal range is very wide and seamless. Her diction is wonderfully clear and free of "British" affectation. She has the neccesary emotive abilities to energize the text of the music she is performing. It is a voice full of freshness and ease of production. She has been thoroughly trained by great a teacher, who was possesed of depth and understanding of stlye and technique, Ms. Lois Hartzell. From this fine teacher, Malya has also learned the important techniques of teaching both young and experienced singers. Malya is, in fact, an excellent studio teacher, and one I do highly recommend to all. She has perfomed all of my composed songs for soprano and organ or piano, and no one has done them as sensitively or with greater conviction than she. James Paul, DMA "The high point of my week! "Malya introduced me to the technique of using my voice as an instrument, and the result of a more beautiful tone delighted me. The teacher was effective and upbeat, encouraging and patient. My voice lesson was the high point of my week! - Michelle Coad "STORYTELLER AS HEART"
It was 5-6 years ago when Malya first sang for the Willow Branch Puppet Theater’s (Pacific Northwest School of Puppetry) opera production of Goethe’s fairytale, ‘The Green Snake and The Beautiful Lily’. Then in the following puppet opera, ‘The Blue Mountain’, she not only sang but was the dramatic voice of one of the lead character roles, the ‘Cat’. With a wonderful clear, distinct voice, Malya gave a stellar performance in both vocal parts. After Malya voiced a desire to continue with other theater productions, I encouraged her to fill the opening for ‘Storyteller’. The theater’s storyteller must not only become the specific voice for each character but also attend to lighting, sound effects, play simple instrumental music and sing, besides being confident, flexible, and imaginaly creative to ad lib when and if necessary. Again, her professional talents ensouled each performance. If I were to describe the theater as a body, then the Storyteller is its Heart. I wholeheartedly recommend Malya as a vocal teacher for both young and old and at any level of experience.
